Terms of Service

TL;DR: By using faircomp.trade, you agree to play nice, respect others’ rights, and accept that we provide the service “as is.” Some features use AI and may be inaccurate—don’t rely on them for legal, medical, or financial decisions. Norwegian/EU consumer rights still apply.

1) Who We Are

faircomp.trade (“we”, “us”) operates faircomp.trade at faircomp.trade. legal@faircomp.trade.

2) Acceptance

By accessing or using the Site, products, or services (the “Services”), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

3) Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the age required by your country) and have capacity to agree to these Terms.
• Keep your login secure; you’re responsible for activities under your account.
• We may suspend or close accounts for violations or risks to the Services or others.

4) User Content

You retain rights to content you submit (“User Content”). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display your User Content as needed to operate and improve the Services. Do not post content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, or harmful.

5) Acceptable Use

• No harassment, hate speech, threats, or exploitation.
• No infringement of intellectual property or privacy rights.
• No malware, scraping, reverse engineering, or service disruption.
• No attempts to bypass access controls or rate limits.

6) AI & Automated Features

• Some outputs are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or reflect biases. Verify important information independently.
• Unless we say otherwise, AI outputs are provided for informational/entertainment purposes and are not professional advice.
• You are responsible for how you use AI outputs, including compliance with law and third-party rights.

7) No Professional Advice

Unless explicitly stated, the Services do not provide legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. Consult a qualified professional for such matters.

8) Intellectual Property

The Services, including text, graphics, logos, software, and trademarks, are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Services.

9) Third-Party Links & Integrations

Links or integrations (including AI or payment providers) are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms.

10) Paid Plans, Trials, and Billing (if applicable)

• Prices and features are listed at checkout and may change; we’ll notify you of material changes in advance where required by law.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime to stop future charges.
• Where EU/EEA consumer rights apply, you may have a 14-day withdrawal right for digital services not yet performed—see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

11) Privacy & Data

Your use is subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws (including GDPR). We process personal data to provide and improve the Services, ensure security, and meet legal obligations.

12) Changes to the Services or Terms

We may modify the Services or these Terms. If changes are material, we’ll provide notice (e.g., on-site banner or email). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13) Warranty Disclaimer

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

14) Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from the Services is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid in the 3 months before the claim or (b) NOK 1,000.

15) Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us and our affiliates from claims arising out of your User Content or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

16) Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or create risk. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections that by nature should survive will survive (e.g., IP, disclaimers, limitations, indemnity).

17) Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. Unless mandatory consumer rules provide otherwise, disputes shall be brought before the courts of Oslo, Norway. Consumers in the EU/EEA may also use the EU ODR platform.

18) For Consumers in the EU/EEA

• Your statutory rights under applicable consumer law remain unaffected.
• If a term is invalid under mandatory law, the remainder still applies.
